Valley View Chalets

Tucked into the hillside roughly one kilometer from The Baths’ main facilities, the Valley View Chalets offer something the closer units cannot: uninterrupted views across the Olifants River valley and the kind of quiet that comes with a little distance. These self-catering chalets are a popular choice for couples, small families and groups of friends looking for a private retreat within easy reach of the resort’s natural hot springs, hiking trails and rock pools.

Every Valley View chalet comes with its own private outdoor Jacuzzi and DSTV with selected channels provided. Guests need only bring their own swimming towels and braai grid. Whether you are planning a romantic weekend for two or a family getaway for six, there is a chalet in this cluster to suit.

Two-Sleeper Chalets

The five two-sleeper chalets in the Valley View cluster are Klipkers, Sandolien, Sugarbush, Taaibos and Wild Olive. Each one follows an open-plan layout with a queen-size bed, a combined living, dining and kitchen area, and a generous front veranda overlooking the valley. 

Four-Sleeper Cottages

Jimmy Cottage and Willy Cottage are the two four-sleeper options in the Valley View range. Unlike the open-plan two-sleepers, these cottages have two separate bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and the other with two single beds, plus a shared bathroom. Both bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, making them comfortable year-round, even during the hot Citrusdal summers. 

Each cottage also has its own private outdoor Jacuzzi and DSTV with selected channels. The two-bedroom layout makes these cottages a good fit for small families or two couples travelling together who want their own sleeping space.

Six-Sleeper House

Melkhout (also known as Milkwood) is the largest unit in the Valley View collection and the only option that sleeps six. This house has three bedrooms, each with air conditioning, and three bathrooms, so there is no queuing for the shower. DSTV is available in the lounge. 

All private jacuzzis are filled with natural hot mineral water drawn from the same source that feeds The Baths’ famous hot springs. Melkhout is well-suited to families or groups of friends who want the space of a private house with the added luxury of their own mineral-water jacuzzi.
