What’s The Baths’ booking policy?

On weekends, only bookings for both Friday and Saturday nights are accepted.

On long weekends, you must stay a minimum of three to four nights. Bookings for only Saturday and Sunday nights are not permitted.

Online bookings are only available for certain units. Booking inquiries are not confirmed until we issue you a booking confirmation.

What’s The Baths’ policy on pool usage?

Glassware and alcohol in and around the swimming pools and spa baths is not allowed. 

Only suitable swimwear may be used in the swimming pools, no swimming in clothes, underwear or naked.

The public baths may not be used after 22h00 (10 PM). 

What’s The Baths’ policy on music?

No music is allowed in the resort. Silence must be observed from 10 pm. 

How do I book a spa treatment at The Baths?

What’s The Baths’ payment policy?

To confirm a booking, full payment is required. 

  • We don’t allow group bookings. 
  • No pets are allowed.
  • We only accept bookings up to six months in advance. 
  • Children over three years old pay the full rate.
What room types does The Baths offer?

We offer a diverse selection of self-catering options, historic apartment buildings, and camping facilities. The Baths offers private chalets spread across the valley and kloof, flats, duplex apartments, and open-air campsites.

The Valley View chalets, like Willy and Jimmy, sit further down the path. Our historic Dwarsgebou and Victorian buildings sit clustered near the primary hot spring pools and reception area.

Should I bring anything from home to The Baths?

Please bring your own braai (barbeque) grid and swimming towels. 

What are The Baths’ check-in and check-out policies?

Check-in is allowed from 2 pm. Please vacate by 10 am on the day of checkout. 

How far is The Baths from Cape Town?

According to GPS, The Baths is 191 kilometres, or two hours and twenty minutes, away from Cape Town city centre. To reach The Baths from Cape Town, travel 180 km on the N7 and turn off to Citrusdal. 

After a kilometre, turn right and continue for 16 km to the entrance gate. The road is well signposted and tarred.
